Rates
Rates are for two persons per room and per day and are inclusive of VAT, breakfast, free access to internet WIFI, exclusive of local taxes. Rates shown on our website are in euros. Local taxes are 3,60 € per person per night. Minimum stay of 2 nights (excluding the riad in exclusivity: minimum stay of 3 nights).
Local taxes
Riads registered as guest houses have to charge 2 different local taxes :
- The Taxe de Promotion Touristique (TPT) : 11 DHS per guest and per day ( Tourism promotion tax)
- The Taxe Communale (since January 2008) : 15 DHS per guest and per day (City tax)
These taxes are repaid to the city of Marrakech and to the Office National Marocain de Tourisme.
Reservation policy (excluding the riad in exclusivity)
- A down payment is required to secure reservation through a deposit of 50%.
- The down payment is to be paid by our e-commerce system on our website or bank transfer upon booking within 5 days after the deposit is requested per mail.
- Should the deposit not be received within 5 days, Riad O may cancel the reservation and sell the room or suite to another client.
- The balance is to be paid not later than 1 month prior to arrival.
- all extras are to be paid at departure at the riad either by cash (euros or dirhams) or by credit card.
- Any settlement by credit card will support an extra charge of 3 % (banking fees and taxes).
- The local currency is dirham. Payments by credit card can therefore only be made in dirham. In view of the varying exchange rate, there is almost always a deviation between our posted prices in euros and the actual price paid.
- At Riad O you are not allowed to consume you own ‘food & drinks’outside the rooms
Cancellation policy (excluding the riad in exclusivity)
- Cancellations must be notified to us by email. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.
- In case of cancellation, you can cancel all or part of your booking to third parties. In case of transfer, full or partial, you will not receive a refund.
- The canceled period can not be recorded at any other time.
- Non-refundable amounts can not be transferred to third parties (eg as deposit for consumption or other costs in Riad O). In case of cancellations, you can find the applicable refunds here.
Extra costs
- Per child sharing the parents room or suite : 20 € per day (free under 2 years, cod bed available on request).
- Per extra bed (age plus 12 years) : 55 € per day.
Half-board (HB)
- HB must be confirmed either at booking time or check-in.
- HB is charged 28 € per guest per day.
- HB must be taken for the entire stay; any HB not taken a day is not refunded.
- HB is composed of a starter, a main dish and a dessert to be chosen on our restaurant’s menu.
- HB can be taken either at dinner or at lunch; guests can choose every day between dinner and lunch.
Riad in exclusivity
- The riad in exclusivity is only possible for a minimum stay of 3 days.
- The number of guests hosted cannot be over the maximum capacity of the riad i.e. 21 persons +1 baby.
- The daily rate is the sum of each room and suite and the eventual extra costs mentioned above.
- The reservation is guaranteed upon payment of the total amount of the reservation fee within 8 days after the down payment is requested by mail.
- Should the deposit not be received within 8 days, Riad O may cancel the reservation and sell the rooms and suites to other clients.
- All extras are to be paid at departure at the riad either by cash (euros or dirhams) or by credit card.
- Any settlement by credit card will support an extra charge of 3 % (banking fees and taxes).

- Amendment of number of guests after down payment: less guests, no refund except for the extra beds; more guests, (21 at most) extra beds and related costs such as HB, etc. will be charged at check-out.
- The Riad O may decide to complete the current policy should the client request additional services (wedding party, off-sites, seminars, etc.) in which case, a contract will be signed by Riad O.

Check-in
- Check-in time is 4:00 PM on the day of arrival
Check-out
- Check-out must be done by noon on the day of departure. (late check-out can be arranged on request and it is subject to the arrival time of the following guests)
Formality for individual travellers
- A passport is required even for children; the expiry date must be over 6 months after the returning date.
- Touristic stay is limited to 3 months.
- Some nationalities may require a visa; please check with your consulate or embassy before departure.
- The Moroccan law does not allow hotels, riads and guest houses to host unmarried Muslim country nationals.
- No pets allowed.
Gift Vouchers purchase terms and conditions
- Gift vouchers are sent by registered mail upon receipt of the payment of the total amount of the order.
- Gift vouchers are valid for 1 year after purchase, the gift must be used within the 1 year time frame.
- Prior to use gift vouchers, a booking is requested, which will be confirmed by mail by the Riad.
- Gift vouchers will not be refunded, nor are they redeemable for any other services.
- Any illegal duplication of our gift vouchers is exposed to proceedings.
